Dr. Lonas grew up in Columbus, Georgia, where he attended Columbus College and graduated magna cum laude with a BS in biology.  He received his MD from the Medical College of Georgia and was a member of the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.  After completing his pediatric residency in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Lonas opened a solo practice in Bainbridge, Georgia. He worked there for nine years before joining Blue Ridge Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine in 1998.  Dr. Lonas’ special interests are infectious diseases and allergies.  He is active in organized medicine at the local, state, and national levels where he seeks to improve healthcare delivery for all children.  Dr. Lonas and his wife, Jane, have three adult children and three granddaughters and are active members of Alliance Bible Fellowship.

After growing up in Atlanta, Dr. St Clair first moved to North Carolina during college where he received a BA in Political Science from Duke University.  He earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.  He completed his pediatric residency at the Children’s Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was voted most outstanding senior resident.  Dr. St Clair’s special interests include pediatric asthma and children with special needs.  He and his wife, Cameron, have lived in Boone since 2002 and have three children

Dr. Clint Zimmerman was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and was later raised in Decatur, Georgia.  After attending Florida Bible College for one year, he attended Georgia Tech and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Systems Engineering.  He then became a management engineer at Durham General Hospital for three years.  He received his MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1987 and completed three years of residency and one year of chief residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.  He has practiced in Boone since 1991 and has been with Blue Ridge Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine since it opened in 1992.  He is blessed with a wonderful wife, Stacy, and three daughters and one son.  He enjoys playing the guitar, reading, and hiking.  He and his family are active members of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Boone.

Dr. Pearson has been a board-certified pediatrician since 2015.  She grew up in Carrboro and attended UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Asheville to complete her BS in Environmental Science. She attended medical school at VCOM in Blacksburg, VA on an Air Force scholarship. She went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.  She served as the medical director of pediatrics and immunizations in Louisiana for four years prior to returning home to North Carolina.  Along the way, she has been fortunate to travel and work internationally and has learned to speak Spanish. She lives in the Boone area with her husband and three children.

Dr. Chip Monroe is originally from Mississippi and received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Mississippi.  He completed a residency in pediatrics at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi where he was named Teaching Resident of the Year in 2004.  After practicing at a community health center for two years in Jackson, Dr. Monroe moved to North Carolina, where he practiced pediatrics in Winston-Salem until moving to Boone in July 2010. Dr. Monroe has three children: Emma Kate, Lee, and Arden.
